Here are a few ideas for talks:

  • My Author's Journey: how I got to where I am today.
  • Words Matter! How children can foster their 'Inner Author'.
  • The Heart of the Story: A general creative writing course in a nutshell.
  • Heart Matters: Are your students/children from a faith background? Are they feeling incomplete, stressed or unfulfilled? Do they want to be open to the Heart Changer who loves us, and has promised to be with us as He works everything together for good? See how the Heart Changer can make a difference in every part of your life!
  • Build A Story: Using the five main components of a story; character, setting, POV, genre and plot - students have enough information to write the first page of their story!
  • Preserving the Pages of History: If there was no internet or encyclopedia hundreds of years ago, how do we know what happened? Students discover the answer, then begin writing their own story.

And anything else you can think of!

  • I've also spent two years teaching three missionary children in an isolated area of Papua New Guinea, so if missions is your interest, I will fascinate them with the lives of children so different, but yet not so different than themselves.
